Job summary

Nimble is seeking a seasoned Coding Manager to lead a medical coding team within a fast-growing revenue cycle management environment serving ambulatory surgery centers, surgical clinics, and anesthesia groups. This role focuses on SLA management, production planning, project oversight, and quality improvement to ensure accurate coding and efficient operations.

Applicants should have AHIMA/CPC certification and 5–7 years of medical coding and leadership experience; anesthesia coding is preferred.

Qualifications

• Certification in medical coding required (AAPC CPC, CPC-H, CCS, or CCS-P).
• 5–7 years of medical coding, billing, and management experience preferred.
• Anesthesia/surgical coding experience preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to interact with all levels of staff and clients.

Responsibilities

• Manage client SLAs and ensure coding accuracy and productivity.
• Oversee production planning with monthly, weekly, and daily queue management.
• Lead project management including resource planning, risk and escalation management.
• Monitor quality performance and address root causes and resolutions.

On a typical day, here's what you'll be working on:

• Manage client SLA's
• Production planning - monthly, weekly, and daily queue management, movement of resource on needs basis
• Project management - resource planning as per project scope, risk management, escalation management
• Quality management - effective monitoring of quality performance, root causes and resolutions to quality challenges of the team
• Ensures coding is compliant with productivity standards
• Contributes to employee performance management with manager / directors
• Enforces standard operating procedures across coding function
• Collaborates with other RCM functional areas regarding coding needs
• Researches and responds to complex coder queries

Requirements

Who you are!

• AAPC or AHIMA certification required, such as CPC, CPC-H, CCS, or CCS-P
• five to seven years of medical coding, billing, and management experience preferred
