Baptist Health is seeking a Coding Specialist, Physician Coding to join our Physician Billing Office in Jacksonville, FL. This is a full-time day shift opportunity.

The role requires physician coding experience, CPC or equivalent certification, and expertise in E/M coding for outpatient and minor procedures. Remote work is allowed from approved states. You will maintain current coding guidelines and ensure compliant billing to support reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Specialty-specific coding certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review clinical documentation and assign ICD-10 diagnosis codes and CPT-4 procedure codes.
• Apply E/M codes across applicable places of service.
• Code minor office procedures, specialty testing, and minor surgeries.
• Follow coding guidelines and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure coding accuracy to support physician billing and reimbursement.
• Identify coding discrepancies and documentation issues.
• Maintain current knowledge of coding guidelines and specialty practices.

Responsibilities

• Review clinical documentation and accurately assign ICD-10 diagnosis codes and CPT-4 procedure codes.
• Apply evaluation and management (E/M) codes across applicable places of service.
• Code minor office procedures, specialty-specific testing and procedures, and minor surgeries.
• Follow established coding guidelines and applicable state and federal regulatory requirements.
• Ensure coding accuracy and compliance to support appropriate physician billing and reimbursement.
• Identify coding discrepancies and documentation issues in accordance with established procedures.
• Maintain current knowledge of coding guidelines, regulatory requirements, and specialty-specific coding practices.
