Job summary

Code Ninjas of Weddington/Indian Trail NC is seeking an enthusiastic Code Sensei to join our team. This role is perfect for a recent graduate or college student who enjoys technology and working with children ages 5–14.

No experience required—we'll teach you our curriculum and coaching methods, focusing on attitude, reliability, and teamwork. You'll learn the Code Ninjas curriculum through structured training, coach students on coding projects, help build confidence and problem-solving skills,

Qualifications

• Recent high school graduate, college student, or recent graduate (preferred).
• Available Tuesday through Friday, approximately 3:00 PM – 7:00 PM.
• Reliable transportation to and from work.
• Enjoys working with children ages 5–14.
• Friendly, outgoing, and professional personality.
• Patient, encouraging, and able to communicate clearly with both children and parents.
• Basic understanding of computers and technology.
• Working knowledge of block-based coding and basic JavaScript.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and teaching techniques.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work well in a team.

Responsibilities

• Learn the Code Ninjas curriculum through our structured training program.
• Coach and guide students as they work through coding projects and challenges.
• Help children build confidence, problem-solving skills, and a love of technology.
• Create a fun, welcoming, and safe learning environment.
• Support new students during trial sessions and provide feedback to parents.
• Encourage students while maintaining high learning standards.
• Assist with opening and closing procedures.
• Keep the dojo clean, organized, and ready for classes.
• Work closely with the Center Director and Lead Senseis as part of a supportive team.
