Job summary

UCHealth in Colorado is seeking a Coding Specialist to assign codes for medical diagnoses and procedures using approved classification systems. Responsibilities include reviewing records, assigning charges, and communicating with supervisors on coding and documentation issues.

The role requires HC coding credentials (RHIA/RHIT/CCS/CCS-P/CCA/CPC etc.), ongoing education, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

  • RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CCS-P, CCA, CPC, CPC-H within 1 year from hire
  • AHIMA or AAPC coding certifications as determined at position level

POSITION LEVEL CREDENTIAL INFORMATION:
