Job summary

Jefferson Health's Gastroenterology Department is seeking a Sr. Certified Coder to abstract clinical information and assign GI Procedural ICD-10 and CPT codes in accordance with reimbursement guidelines.

The role maintains daily coding, charge entry, and reconciliation for GI physicians with a 95% accuracy goal and productivity of 75–85 procedures daily, working from the 132 S 10th Street, Philadelphia, PA location and collaborating with the Jefferson team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Graduate of a HIM or related coding program
• CPC certification required

Responsibilities

• Abstracts relevant clinical information from the medical records and assigns GI Procedural ICD-10 and CPT/CDM codes according to coding and reimbursement guidelines
• Maintains daily coding, charge entry, and reconciliation functions for all assigned GI Physicians, with 95% accuracy and productivity of 75–85 procedures daily
