Job summary

Aerotek in Lockport, NY, is hiring for a Welder & Fabricator on 1st shift. You will perform MIG, TIG, Pulse, and Flux Core welding, fabricate pressure vessels and piping, and read blueprints.

The role uses carbon steel and stainless steel, with emphasis on quality and safety in a custom fabrication environment. Qualifications

• 3+ years welding experience required.
• Experience with MIG, TIG, Pulse, and Flux Core welding.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
• Carbon steel fabrication experience.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work in a custom fabrication environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG, TIG, Pulse, and Flux Core welding.
• Fabricate pressure vessels, piping systems, and custom assemblies.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications.
• Select appropriate welding methods and equipment for each project.
• Work primarily with carbon steel and stainless steel materials.
• Conduct quality inspections and verify measurements.
• Use calipers, squares, and precision measuring tools.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, and efficiency.

What You'll Do

• Perform MIG, TIG, Pulse, and Flux Core welding

What We're Looking For

Required:

• 3+ years of welding experience
• Experience with MIG, TIG, Pulse, and/or Flux Core welding
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
• Carbon steel fabrication experience
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to work in a custom fabrication environment

Preferred:

• Stainless steel fabrication experience
• Pressure vessel, piping, or custom fabrication experience
• ASME certification or code welding experience
• Knowledge of ASME and AWS standards
• Inspection and quality control experience
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
