Job summary

Aoka is seeking a part-time Code Enforcement Inspector in the Tyler, TX area to perform field inspections and enforce municipal codes related to property maintenance, zoning, signage, and environmental concerns.

You will issue notices and stop-work orders, document case evidence, present cases, and submit weekly timesheets. The role offers $30–$40 per hour and a 401(k) with 100% company match up to 5% after 90 days.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in Code Enforcement.
• Registered Code Enforcement Officer (RCEO) with the State of Texas required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field inspections and investigate complaints to enforce municipal codes on property maintenance, zoning, signage, and environmental issues.
• Issue notices of violation, citations, and stop-work orders; communicate corrective actions to owners, contractors, and the public.
• Document case evidence with photos, notes, and reports; maintain accurate case files.
• Prepare and present cases and provide testimony as required.
• Submit weekly timesheet reports to the supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field inspections and investigate complaints to enforce municipal codes related to property maintenance, zoning, signage, environmental concerns, and abandoned/junk vehicles
• Issue notices of violation, citations, and stop-work orders; clearly communicate corrective actions to property owners, contractors, and the public
• Document case evidence with photographs, inspection notes, and reports; maintain accurate case files in VertexPlans
• Prepare and present cases andproviding testimony as required
• Prepare and submit weekly timesheet reports to the supervisor in accordance with company procedures

Compensation & Benefits

• $30 – $40 per hour & 401(k) with 100% company match up to 5%, available after 90 days
• Part-Time — Hours are not guaranteed and will vary based on client needs
