Job summary

Scientific Research Corporation is seeking an experienced instructor to provide setup, configuration, operation, and maintenance of COC equipment and communications suites. You will lead POIs, support C2 training events, and ensure MCEN standard compliance across server, VM, and network configurations.

You will coordinate with engineers, support training exercises, and document equipment status while ensuring interoperability with POR systems and external platforms.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline or formal DoD training.
  • Military or commercial basic instructor course experience.
  • Five or more years of POIs delivery and C2 training events.
  • Experience with POI on COC equipment and communications software/hardware.
  • Direct setup, configuration, operation, and maintenance of COC equipment including VM/server management.
  • Experience with C2 systems such as C2PC/JTCW, GCCS, JBC-P/MMC-S, and related tools.
  • ISD/SAT-E methodologies experience and SLTE-P standards knowledge.
  • O365, SharePoint, Microsoft Office; CompTIA Security+; DoD Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Provide instruction on setup, configuration, operation, and maintenance of COC equipment and communications suite.
  • Deliver Staff COC core competencies in the digital battle-space.
  • Offer technical support to COC operators during exercises and operations.
  • Install and configure COC equipment including servers, workstations, radios, and network devices.
  • Ensure configurations comply with MCEN standards and protocols.
  • Maintain diagnostics and records of equipment configurations and maintenance.
  • Coordinate with systems engineers for complex troubleshooting and integration with POR systems.

Job description

Estimated Starting Salary Range: USD $76,350.00/Yr. - USD $127,250.00/Yr. Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.

Description
  • Providing instruction on the setup, configuration, operation, and maintenance of COC equipment and communications suite of equipment to include VMs, server management, and communications planning
  • Providing Staff COC core competencies in the digital battle-space
  • Providing technical support and guidance to COC operators and watch standers during training exercises and real-world operations
  • Installing and configuring COC equipment, including servers, workstations, radios, and network devices
  • Ensuring all hardware and software configurations comply with Marine Corps Enterprise Network (MCEN) standards and protocols
  • Performing routine maintenance and diagnostics on COC equipment to ensure operational readiness
  • Identifying and resolving hardware and software issues in a timely manner
  • Coordinating with systems engineers and network administrators for complex troubleshooting
  • Integrating COC equipment with Marine Corps Program of Record (POR) systems and other war-fighting functional areas
  • Ensuring seamless interoperability between COC systems and external communication platforms
  • Maintaining detailed records of equipment configurations, maintenance schedules, and troubleshooting activities
  • Preparing reports on equipment status and recommendations for upgrades or replacements

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline or formal DoD training
  • Successful completion of a military or commercial basic instructor course, such as Marine Corps Center for Learning and Faculty Development (CLFD), Facilitating Learning Experience Course (FLEX), CLFD Designing Learning Experience Course (DLEX), Basic Instructor Course (BIC), a college certification course, or an equivalent alternative course
  • Five (5) or more years of experience providing formal Period of Instructions (POIs) and supporting C2 training events
  • Experience providing POI on COC equipment and COC communications equipment software, hardware, systems, and applications
  • Direct experience with setup, configuration, operation, and maintenance of COC equipment and communications suite of equipment to include VM management, server management, and communications planning
  • Demonstrated experience with the following systems: C2PC/JTCW, TCS, Agile Client & Agile Server, MANGL, THS-V2, GCCS, JBC-P/MMC-S, MCH, CAS, COC OS software, hardware, C2 systems, and applications
  • Experience analyzing the effectiveness of training programs and operational plans
  • Experience with network administration and networking C2 systems
  • Experience with Instructional Systems Design/Systems Approach to Training and Education (ISD/SAT-E) methodologies
  • Understanding of Marine Corps Service Level Training Exercise Program (SLTE-P) standards and objectives
  • Demonstrated experience with O365, SharePoint, and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Possess a current CompTIA Security+ certificate
  • Possess a current DoD Secret Security Clearance
Desired Skills
  • Five (5) or more years of experience supporting MAGTF Operations Center Training Team (MOCTT) and/or MAGTF Integrated Systems Training Centers (MISTCs)
  • Demonstrated experience creating and instructing COC equipment and COC Communications equipment POIs
  • Active‑du‑ty USMC experience with COC Communications equipment and C2 systems
  • Possess a current Microsoft Office Specialist Master Certification
