Job summary

Cobalt Boats, LLC seeks a Technician II in Assembly to build boats by following the construction order, using power tools and hand tools, and reading drawings and specifications.

You will document finished parts, train new operators, work in a fast-paced environment with PPE, and adapt to multiple tasks with minimal supervision.

Typical 10 hour days with frequent overtime; lifting up to 50 lbs and a strong emphasis on safety and quality are required.

Job Title: Technician IIDepartment: AssemblyReports To: Department SupervisorFLSA Status: HourlySummary Assemble boats by following specific boat construction order. A variety of tasks are performed building the components of each boat using power and non-power hand tools working from specifications and schematic drawings.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Apply high energy, self-motivation, and initiative to learn and be trained on various types of equipment and processes.Ability to use safely and effectively high-speed pneumatic and battery powered power tools: drills, drivers etc., hand tools, etc.Must be able to read drawings and specifications. Complete required documentation of finished parts for production purposes.Daily job duties will be varied and dynamic.Workload will be tracked via daily schedules and assignments requiring responsibility and accountability for quality and timeliness of completion.Ability to perform job functions safely and effectively in a fast-paced environment while wearing all required PPE.Ability to take on new tasks and duties with little training or assistance.Be able to train new operators safe methods and best practices to help them become successful operators.Be a self-starter and expert in their respective areas.Be able to complete multiple positions and/or tasks in a timely and safe manner.Learn new models and assist in implementing best practices.Practice good housekeeping.Other duties as assigned.Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
