Job summary

Ervin Cable Construction LLC in Gadsden, AL is seeking a Coax Splicer to join our telecommunications installation teams. You’ll perform cable upgrades and splicing tasks, both aerial and underground, test and troubleshoot after installation, and ensure compliance with customer and industry standards.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license with clean record, ability to pass a DOT physical, and at least six months of coax splicing experience or one year in

Qualifications

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
Six months coax splicing or one year telecom experience.
Valid US driver's license with clean record and ability to pass DOT physical.
Authorized to work in the United States.
Certified pole climber preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform cable upgrades and splicing tasks, both aerial and underground.
Test, activate, and troubleshoot equipment post-installation.
Ensure splicing operations meet standards.
Navigate work at heights and maintain daily vehicle checks.
Document work with daily production reports.
Other duties as assigned.
