Job summary

Nucor Crawfordsville is seeking a Mechanical Technician to provide preventative maintenance and day-to-day repairs to support mill operations. The role includes work on cooling, lubrication, environmental controls, cranes, alignments, water treatment, welding and fabrication.

Boca candidates must have basic hydraulic skills, one year of industrial maintenance experience, and basic piping and plumbing skills. Safety is paramount and overtime may be required to meet production needs.

Basic Job Functions:

The role of the Mechanical Technician consists of, but not limited to, providing preventative maintenance support and day to day repairs to support mill operations, basic knowledge of cooling, lubrication and environmental control systems, overhead cranes. equipment alignments, water treatment, welding, and fabrication. Must be able to work scheduled and unscheduled overtime and willing to learn the position of Millwright with expectation to apply for all dept shift millwright positions.

Minimum Qualifications:
