Job summary

Engineered Floors in Georgia is seeking a Coating Wing Operator responsible for positioning carpet onto pins using tenter wing controls to achieve the correct width and quality.

You will support backing applications, assist in coating operations, clean equipment, monitor pinning, and maintain a safe, productive work area. Overtime may be required; basic reading/writing and math skills preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Read and write effectively.
• Basic math skills required.

Responsibilities

• Position the carpet onto pins using tenter wing controls to achieve the correct width.
• Ensure backing is at proper width, wrinkle-free, and pinned properly.
• Assist in thread-up of coater at start-up or change-overs.
• Clean rollers, wrap rollers with plastic, clean tenter wings, and clean pans as required.
• Maintain and operate the topical applicator for the line.
• Continuously monitor the pinning of the carpet to ensure proper pinning.
• Keep the work area clean.
