Job summary

Oerlikon is seeking a Technician for our Agawam, MA production facility to set up and monitor coating machines, prepare the coating system, load/unload the chamber, and input process parameters on the operator screen.

The role involves pre-treating customer products and coordinating with Quality/Center Manager on quality concerns, with a 2nd shift schedule Mon-Fri 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM and a 5% shift premium, plus overtime opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior machine operator experience preferred.
• Proficient in English reading/writing and communication.
• Basic MS Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily changeover maintenance of pre/post treatment equipment.
• Optimize the daily use of production equipment.
• Follow standard procedures and interpret customer work instructions.
• Interact with customers and co-workers in a customer-friendly manner.
• Maintain and update equipment records.
