Job summary

Amneal is seeking a Coating Operator III to safely run coating equipment on 1st shift. You will calibrate pumps, verify machine conditions, and record data for each batch while coordinating with QA and engineering. The role requires reading and writing in English, strong math/mechanical skills, and willingness to work extended hours.

The position emphasizes adherence to SOPs, cGMP compliance, and accurate documentation. A respirator fit test is required for safety.

Responsibilities

• Operate coating equipment safely and adhere to SOPs and cGMP.
• Calibrate spray pump and check calibration status for each batch.
• Enter data accurately in coating use log book and prepare batch records.
• Inform engineering on dust collector cleanup to maintain exhaust pressure.
• Check coating nozzles, piping, air pressure and temperature recorder before batch start.
• Ensure compressor air filter is free of water.
• Communicate status by labeling materials and rooms during process.

Job description

Description: Coating Operator III is responsible for safely operating the coating equipment and to ensure Coating Operation is completed in adherence to Standard Operating Procedures and maintaining 100% cGMP & compliance.

Schedule:

1st Shift - 7:00AM - 3:30PM Monday to Friday

Essential Functions:

• Must be able to "A" clean spray nozzle by dismantling, thorough cleaning to remove residual impurities and re-assemble. (Performed before changeover of different product or different color, not a daily routine operation)
• Must be able to Calibrate spray pump before starting new batch. Check Calibration status of all machine, and equipment. (Takes more time in Hauppauge Plant as there are seven Coating Pans 48" in One Room and 3 Pans 60" in other Rooms), ( In Brookhaven Plant, One Pan per Room)
• Responsible for proper data entry in all coating use log book
• Perform batch record completion 100 % accurate, online and provide to next department/ Q.A. audit on time.
• Must inform engineering on Dust Collector clean up to maintain required exhaust air pressure.
• Identification of Status by label of material and room during process, Checking of Batch before Start and entry in the coating room.
• Must check coating nozzles / Piping / Air pressure and temperature Recorder in/out before start of the batch.
• Must make sure compressed air filter located on the machine does not have any water

Additional Responsibilities:

• Other duties as assigned.

Education:

• High School or GED General HS Curriculum - Preferred

Experience:

• With HS/GED 5 years of Experience in Pharmaceuticals Manufacturing Experience
• Less than HS/GED 6 years proven related experience in Pharmaceuticals Manufacturing environment.

Additional Requirement: This position requires successful completion of an OSHA-compliant Respirator Fit Test.

The hourly base salary for this position ranges from $24.50 to $30.00 per hour. Amneal ranges reflect the Company's good faith estimate of base salary that Amneal reasonably believes that it will pay for said position at the time of the posting.
