Job summary

Sandvik Coromant Westminster in Westminster, SC seeks a dedicated Machine Operator (Coating Department Furnace Operator). The role focuses on loading/unloading furnaces, maintaining equipment, and ensuring strict safety and quality standards.

You will monitor coating processes, make adjustments, and keep detailed process records while working with close supervision as needed. The ideal candidate has a high attention to detail, experience with measuring gauges, familiarity with 5S/lean

Qualifications

• Detail-oriented with a strong visual perception.
• Experience using measuring gauges and inspection tools.
• Knowledge of 5S and lean manufacturing preferred.
• 2 years' experience in a mechanical or processing industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload furnaces and perform routine maintenance on furnace components.
• Follow prescribed work instructions and operate in accordance with safety and quality standards.
• Monitor coating processes via computerized control systems and manual equipment.
• Perform adjustments on control systems as instructed by engineering/management.
• Maintain SPC, production and inventory records and complete checklists.
• Inspect materials for defects and ensure finishes meet specifications.
• Ensure compliance with company, state, and federal environmental regulations.
