Job summary

Solventum, formerly 3M Health Care, seeks a Coater Technician to join our team in Columbia, MO. The role offers a starting rate of $30.12 per hour with shift differentials and full-time overnight 12-hour rotating shifts from 7:30 pm to 7:30 am, every other weekend.

Entry-level position with a probationary period and potential advancement after 6 months. We require 1 year of industrial maintenance/electronic/electrical experience and a 2–4 year technical degree in maintenance technology, plus 1

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance on chemical, electronic, industrial, hydraulics, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
• Perform basic preventive maintenance duties.
• Conduct basic troubleshooting of chemical, electrical, electronic, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
• Be the Subject Matter Expert on setup, running, and maintenance of coater processes.
• Assist with calibrations of process equipment and monitor day-to-day production issues.
• Lead operators in analysis of potential failures using current documentation and problem-solving techniques.
• Ensure process documentation is current and utilized.
• Participate in continuous training and follow safety guidelines.
• Perform operator duties as required.
• Identify improvement opportunities and initiate implementation.

• Performing maintenance on chemical, electronic, industrial, hydraulics, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
• Performing basic preventative maintenance (PM's) duties.
• Conducting basic troubleshooting of chemical, electrical, electronic, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
• Being the Subject Matter Expert on setup, running, and maintenance of coater processes
• Assisting with calibrations of process equipment and in monitoring/analysis of a variety of day-to-day production issues.
• Using current documentation and problem-solving techniques to lead operators in the analysis of potential failures.
• Assuring process documentation is current and utilized at all times.
• Participate in continuous training & follow safety guidelines.
• Performing operator duties as required.
• Identify improvement opportunities and initiate implementation.
• Possessing the ability to clearly speak, understand, and write in English to communicate effectively in both verbal and written contexts.

Your Skills and Expertise

• 1 year of industrial maintenance/electronic/electrical experience
• Possess a 2-4-year technical degree in maintenance technology
• 1-year recent vapor coating experience

In addition to the above requirements, the following are also required:

• Ability to work overtime, weekend, or holidays as needed
• Ability to work a Full-Time, Overnight shift (12-Hour Rotating Shifts 7:30pm - 7:30am, every other weekend)
