Job summary

Mohawk Industries is seeking a production operator to oversee the coater and ensure high-quality output on the production line. You will prioritize personal safety, enter data in SAP, inspect finished material, and maintain efficient plant operations.

This on-site role requires standing for long periods, flexible hours, and strong attention to detail to monitor equipment, adjust controls, and document processes accurately.

Responsibilities

• Enter data into SAP.
• Inspect quality of processed material, noting size and dimension accuracies for a quality final product.
• Verify the correct setup and function of the machine.
• Maintain a clean and efficient work area.
• Monitors operational data such as temperatures, pressures, ingredients used, processing times, or test results.
• Inspect equipment or units to detect leaks, malfunctions, and monitor operating conditions - shutting equipment down if necessary.
• Adjust controls to regulate temperature, pressure, feed and flow of liquids and gases, and times of prescribed reactions, according to knowledge of equipment and processes.
• Monitor gauges, recording instruments, flow meters, or products to ensure that specified conditions are maintained.
• Perform physical line walks at designated intervals to monitor/inspect for product quality, equipment reliability, and general housekeeping.
• Assist with conducting trials in production processes.
• Assist with troubleshooting quality issues.
• Assist with line changeovers and seam splicing preventive care for optimized performance.
• Troubleshoot and/or modify equipment systems-related failures based on supervisor and/or engineering direction.
