The position emphasizes field coordination, data reporting, grant management, and collaboration with state and local agencies to inform policy and decision-making.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental science or equivalent of 5 years’ aquatic/marine science experience; Master’s preferred.
• Experience with ArcGIS and R software.
• Strong writing, data visualization, and communications skills.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Experience coordinating and conducting field work.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Water Quality Project Management, updating monitoring plans and reports.
• Support community-based monitoring programs and data analyses.
• Conduct field work and manage data processing, analysis, and visualization for reporting.
• Manage grants including scope of work, budgeting, contracting, and reviewing deliverables.
• Represent MassBays in technical committees and present findings at meetings.
