Beebe Healthcare in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform radiographic procedures in accordance with professional and departmental standards.

You will ensure patient safety, manage exams, and collaborate with clinical staff, with on-call and weekend availability as required. Current DE Radiation license, DE state licensure, and BLS are required; an Associate degree and EHR proficiency are preferred.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in related field.
• DE Radiation license.
• Licensed in state of DE (DE LICENSED).
• BLS - Basic Life Saving Certification.

Responsibilities

• Performs radiographic procedures following standards and procedures.
• Adheres to department policies to optimize examinations.
• Assists in teaching radiography students as required.
• Communicates with patients to obtain clinical history and informed consent.
• Explains procedures to patients and answers questions to ease anxiety.
• Recognizes clinical or emergent issues and acts to resolve them.
• Identifies patients and files with high accuracy.
• Tracks patients per department procedures and corrects errors.
• Maintains exposure within ALARA limits.
• Uses radiation protection devices and shielding effectively.
• Ensures patient safety with rails, brakes, and monitoring.
• Documents and reports any adverse or unusual conditions.
