Job summary

Mediix seeks a Consultant Physician in General & Acute Medicine to join a regional health service in Albany, WA. The role covers inpatient and outpatient General Medicine, with opportunities for teaching, supervision and leadership within a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Registration with the Medical Board of Australia or eligible for registration.
• Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in General Medicine, or eligibility to obtain Fellowship.
• Significant clinical experience in General and Acute Medicine.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Commitment to patient-centred care, teaching and clinical excellence.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist inpatient and outpatient General Medicine services.
• Participate in acute medical care, consultation-liaison services and hospital programs.
• Work within innovative models of care focused on patient outcomes.
• Provide leadership within a multidisciplinary team environment.
• Supervise and mentor trainees, registrars, residents and interns.
• Participate in a shared on-call roster with strong specialist support.
