Job summary

NextPath Workforce Solutions is currently seeking an Innovation Engineer to join our client’s team in Miami, Florida. This is an onsite, direct hire position.

The role focuses on advancing coastal and hydrodynamic product development, from concept through testing, permitting, and installation, with close collaboration across engineering, sales, and production. Candidates should have a civil/structural/coastal engineering background and permitting experience with agencies such as USACE or state

Qualifications

• Background in civil, structural, or coastal engineering.
• Knowledge of coastal hydrodynamics, wave attenuation, sediment transport, and hydrodynamic loading.
• Experience taking physical products from concept to testing and installation.
• Coastal/marine permitting experience with agencies (FDEP, DERM, USACE, FEMA) or municipal departments.
• Ability to bridge engineering, sales, and production to assess manufacturability.

Responsibilities

• Lead new product development from design through testing, permitting and installation.
• Engineer and pressure-test products, confirming attachment, installation, and performance.
• Coordinate sales, engineering, and production to ensure viability and manufacturability with 3D printing.
• Create documentation and feed feedback from deployed products to R&D.
• Represent the company technically with clients, agencies, partners, and industry conferences.

SALARY: $90,000 - $140,000 (depending on experience). Unfortunately, at this time our client is unable to sponsor or transfer visas. Only candidates authorized to work in the US without sponsorship should apply.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Civil, structural, or coastal engineering background
• Coastal/hydrodynamic engineering knowledge (wave attenuation, sediment transport, hydrodynamic loading)
• Physical product development experience (concept to engineering, testing, installation)
• Coastal/marine permitting experience with agencies such as FDEP, DERM, USACE, FEMA, or municipal building departments
• Ability to bridge engineering, sales, and production, understanding what can be engineered and manufactured

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead new product development from design through testing, permitting, and installation
• Engineer and pressure-test existing and new products, determining attachment, installation, and performance
• Coordinate sales, engineering, and production to ensure product viability and manufacturability with 3D-printing technology
• Create documentation and feedback loops from deployed products back into R&D
• Represent the company technically with clients, agencies, partners, and industry conferences
