Job Description

• Oversee all aspects of the Boys Soccer Program including player development, game strategies, and team leadership, tryouts, practices and games.
• Serve as the Boys Varsity Head Soccer Coach.
• Apply strong knowledge of soccer rules, strategies, and game management.
• Develop and execute an effective training program.
• Motivate and mentor student‑athletes on and off the field.
• Instruct student‑athletes in fundamental skills, strategies, and physical training necessary for individual and team success.
• Guide student‑athletes toward the development of moral values, pride of accomplishment, appropriate social behavior, self‑discipline and confidence.
• Promote teamwork, discipline, respect, sportsmanship, and skill development.
• Ensure the safety and well‑being of student‑athletes.
• Collaborate promptly with the School Athletic Director and the District Athletic Department for relevant information and periodic needs.
• Comply with all requirements mandated by the District Board of Education, the Ohio High School Athletic Association (OHSAA), and the Ohio Department of Education (ODE), including Coaches Tool Chest (CTC) Training/Certification and the ODE Pupil Activity Permit (PAP).
• Verify the academic eligibility of all prospective student‑athletes.
• Follow the District Athletic Department Policies outlined in the Coaches Handbook and meet all criteria listed in the job description.
• Model the expected behavior of student‑athletes, including punctuality, positivity, respect, constructive criticism, and discipline.
• Maintain an appropriate sideline conduct, including the use of appropriate language.
• Accept and apply constructive criticism and suggestions for coaching improvement.
• Understand and implement all applicable administrative policies set forth by the District Board of Education, Superintendents, School Principals, Conference Leagues, ODE, and OHSAA.
• Provide all applicable in‑season and out‑of‑season training rules and guidance to student‑athletes prior to the start of the season, following appropriate due‑process procedures when violations occur.
• Participate in clinics and other available programs to improve coaching performance.
• Participate in school events such as awards nights, pep assemblies, and athletic booster meetings.
• Assist in preparing the team to compete against opponents.
• Maintain an accurate inventory of equipment and supplies.

• Evidence of successful past coaching experience at the high school and/or college level desired.
• Required background checks: County Police Records Check, State BCII Check, and FBI Fingerprint Background Check.
• Possession of an Ohio Department of Education (ODE) Pupil Activity Permit (PAP).
• Proof of completion of Coaches Tool Chest (CTC) Training/Certification.

Salary: As per Schedule E Contract of current C.F.T. Labor Agreement
