Vernon Public Schools is seeking a Coach-Varsity Softball at Rockville High School to lead the softball program. The coach will attend all events, plan practices, motivate student-athletes, collaborate with booster clubs, and teach game strategies while ensuring safety and supervision.

Required CT Coaching Certification and First Aid/CPR. The position is full-time with a stipend for the season of $7,940, start date March 1, 2027. Equal opportunity employer.

• attend all team events
• plan and conduct practices
• motivate student-athletes on the field and in the classroom
• work with the booster clubs
• instruct student-athletes in game strategies and techniques
• responsible for the safety and supervision of all athletes on his/her team

Qualifications:

• CT Coaching Certification & First aid/CPR Certification required.

Stipend and Benefits:

• The stipend amount for the season is $7,940, paid at mid-season and end of season. This part-time position includes no benefits.

Start date: March 1, 2027
