Job summary

Eastern Carver County Schools is seeking an experienced Strength & Conditioning Coach for after-school programs at Chaska High School in Chaska, MN. The coach will lead student-athletes in grades 7–12, focusing on safe, sport-specific strength development and athletic performance enhancement.

The candidate should bring prior strength/conditioning coaching experience, knowledge of sport-specific programming, and a commitment to safety and proper technique.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in strength and conditioning, athletic performance training, or a related coaching role.
• Knowledge of sport-specific strength and conditioning principles across multiple sports.
• Experience working with middle school and high school student-athletes preferred.
• Relevant strength and conditioning certification preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and motivational skills.
• Commitment to athlete safety, proper training technique, and positive training environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and oversee the strength and conditioning program for student-athletes in grades 7–12.
• Develop age-appropriate, sport-specific training programs that improve strength, speed, power, agility, mobility, and conditioning.
• Teach proper lifting techniques, movement mechanics, and safe equipment use.
• Adapt training programs to accommodate athletes’ ages, experience levels, individual needs, and sport-specific demands.
• Promote injury risk reduction, healthy training habits, accountability, and long-term athletic development.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and positive training environment.
• Collaborate with athletic coaches and staff to support student-athlete performance and development.
• Monitor athlete progress and adjust programming as needed.

Position Overview - After School Strength & Conditioning Coach

We are seeking an experienced, motivated, and athlete-focused Strength & Conditioning Coach to lead our after-school strength and conditioning program for student-athletes in grades 7–12.

The ideal candidate will have experience developing and implementing strength and conditioning programs, an understanding of sport-specific training demands, and a passion for helping young athletes improve performance while prioritizing safety, proper technique, and long-term athletic development.
