Young World Physical Education is seeking a Head Baseball Coach for the spring season in Lakewood, Washington. The role involves coaching all phases of baseball, supervising practices and games, and ensuring team discipline.
The ideal candidate holds a high school diploma and is CPR/First Aid certified. This seasonal position offers a stipend ranging from $5,418 to $7,805 based on experience.

Maintain emotional control under stress. Frequent districtwide and statewide travel; frequent prolonged and irregular hours; outdoor exposure to sun and heat. Considerable physical activity. May require handling of objects that can weigh up to 50 lbs. Work involves exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises. Involves minimal exposure to physical risks, such as operating dangerous equipment or working with chemicals. Afternoon, evening and some weekend work is required.
Employment with Clover Park School District is conditional pending completion of a Washington State Patrol and Federal Bureau of Investigation fingerprint background check as required by RCW 28A.400.303. The fingerprint scan must be completed prior to the first day of employment.
Coaches must have completed all required training and the necessary hiring paperwork (online application, I-9, fingerprinting, Safe Schools training, etc.) with Human Resources prior to stepping on the field/court. To receive the full stipend the coach must be hired and working by the eighth (8th) practice of the season. Volunteer coaching is uncompensated. Any time spent coaching prior to the completion of the above requirements is considered volunteer coaching and does not earn payment.
Eligible employees who work 630 hours during the school year (September 1 through August 31) are eligible for medical, dental, vision, long‑term disability and basic life insurance benefits. Employees must be a member of the Washington State Department of Retirement Systems Plan to qualify for pension benefits.
