Job Description

The high school JV Coach is responsible for coordinating the JV sports. Duties include but are not limited to:

• Supervise coaching duties.
• Attend staff meetings called by the principal, athletic director, or head coach.
• If a JV coach, coordinate all activities of the JV team, including practice schedules, equipment management, transportation for away games, monitoring team members’ academic progress throughout the school year, securing personnel such as managers and game scorers, and supervising athletes after practice or game until all athletes are off school grounds.
• Scout opponents when possible.
• Treat all injuries in the absence of the trainer.
• Perform all other duties within reason assigned by the head coach.
