Denver Public Schools is seeking a dedicated career services specialist to provide program-specific career exploration support, including prior learning assessment, resume and cover letter development, and job placement assistance for graduates and apprentices.
You will collaborate with faculty across campuses, develop career readiness curricula for related industries, coordinate apprenticeship opportunities, and foster strong local employer partnerships to ensure timely placement of graduates'
Provides program/industry specific career exploration support, including prior learning assessment support; apprenticeship and program-specific advising; resume, cover letter, and application development support; and job placement support in-person, via email, and by phone. Holds office hours at both the main campus and at satellite campuses as appropriate.
Works within one of the college's academic departments but collaborates with all departments to facilitate a seamless service delivery experience with the goal of student retention and completion by supporting career exploration events for prospective apprentices and engaging program alumni as mentors, for example.
