Job summary

Plain Local School District Athletic Office in Canton, Ohio seeks a part-time Coach-Assistant for Wrestling at the high school level. You will support the Head Coach in implementing the season's athletic program and help manage team activities.

You will attend meetings, cover scouting trips, help with equipment checks, and assist in developing a specific team under the Head Coach. Commitment to program policies and collaboration with administrators is essential.

Qualifications

• Supports the Head Coach in conducting the athletic program of that particular sport and the total athletic program.
• Is loyal to the coach and to the team. An Assistant Coach generally must give up some of his/her own thoughts to conform to the overall pattern as set forth by the Head Coach.
• Assists the Head Coach in a manner which will be most beneficial to the entire program.
• Assumes the responsibility for the development and guidance of a specific team within the total program as assigned by the Head Coach.
• Attends all meetings requested by the Athletic Administrator or Head Coach.
• Covers scouting trips requested by the Head Coach.
• Assists the Head Coach in checking in all equipment at the end of the season.
• In the absence of the Head Coach and First Assistant, if any, assumes all responsibilities herein designated as those of the Head Coach.
• Abides by the Athletic Department policies and operating procedures.
• Performs other coaching-related duties as directed by the Head Coach, Athletic Administrator or Principal.
