Job summary

Lincoln Public Schools’ Southeast High School in Lincoln, Nebraska is seeking an Assistant Girls Soccer Coach to support the development of the program and its student-athletes.

The successful candidate will have coaching credentials as required by the Nebraska DOE and the ability to lead practices, manage competitions, and foster positive relationships with families and the LPS community.

Experience developing an inaugural program and knowledge of NSAA guidelines is valued.

Qualifications

• Must hold Nebraska Department of Education Teaching or Administrative Certificate, or Special Services Coaching Permit.
• Soccer knowledge and ability to develop a new program.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building with students, families, and the LPS community.

Responsibilities

• Assist head coach with practices, regular season, district contests, and NSAA state preparation.
• Provide oversight of the program and ensure required certifications are maintained.

Assistant Coaching

GirlsSoccer Assistant Coach

Requires teacher and/or coach who holds a Nebraska Department of Education Teacher or Administrative Certificate or a Nebraska Department of Education Special Services Coaching Permit.

Lincoln Southeast High School is seeking a dynamic individual as an assistant Girls Soccer coach to provide support for athletes in theLincoln SoutheastSoccer program. Excellent communication and organizational skills are required as well as the desire & ability to develop positive relationships with student-participants, families and the LPS community. Must have comprehensive knowledge and experience with Soccer to help develop the inaugural program.

LPS assistant coaches are expected to follow the guidance of their head coaches in organizing and leading practices, regular season and district contests and performances (not to exceed NSAA/LPS allowances); facilitate, manage and provide oversight of the program; maintain required certification and requirements of the position; and lead their teams in NSAA state championship preparation and performances if the team or individuals qualify.

LPS has a long tradition of academic, athletic and activity excellence. Belief in the value of educational-based athletics is critical.

Knowledge and understanding of NSAA and LPS policies and bylaws is required.
