Job summary

BSN SPORTS, a Varsity Brands company, is seeking a Coach in Dallas, TX. The role trains team members, ensures SOP adherence, and drives KPI achievement in safety, quality, delivery, and productivity within the Production/Warehouse team.

Responsibilities include new hire training, progression coaching, and cross-training to maintain a flexible, high-energy operation. Bi-lingual is a plus. On-site, Monday–Friday hours.

Qualifications

• Internal candidates must have achieved an Experienced level in their role for, minimally, 2 consecutive calendar quarters and be in good standing (has met all pre-requisites on most recent progression evaluation).
• Bi-lingual is a plus.

• Provide a safe, healthy, and welcoming working environment in a Lean culture for all team members.
• Be a champion of the department's SOPs.
• Responsible for all new hire training, documenting training, and completion of training documents.
• Train teammates to advance from entry to experienced, and from experienced to expert.
• Partner with Supervisors and Managers to provide objective feedback on trainee progression.
• Discuss daily expectations with Supervisor/Team Lead after reviewing prior day's productivity and quality.
• Collaborate to find efficient processes and suggest improvements; encourage team input.
• Work with CI Team to be the SME on department processes for improvements.
• Cross-train team members from other areas to ensure a flexible team.
• May act as an Operator to help meet business needs.

WORK HOURS: Monday-Friday 6:30AM - 3:00 PM

The BSN SPORTS Production/Warehouse team is looking for a team oriented, high energy Coach in Dallas, TX.

As a member of the Production/Warehouse team, the Coach is a critical role and is responsible for providing training to team members and validate understanding of concepts to ensure operational success through attaining KPIs in the areas of Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Productivity. The Coach will be the Subject Matter Expert (SME) of the processes in their home department.

WHAT YOU'LL DO ON A DAILY BASIS:

• Provide a safe, healthy, and welcoming working environment in a Lean culture for all team members
• Be a champion of the department's SOPs.
• Responsible for all new hire training, documenting training, and completion of training documents
• Working with team members to train to advance level (entry to experienced, experienced to expert)
• Partner with Supervisors and Managers to provide objective feedback on trainee's progression.
• Discusses daily expectation with Supervisor/Team Lead after observing productivity and quality results from prior day and prioritizing any team members who need assistance
• Partner to find the most efficient process and suggest improvements where needed/identified; encourages team members to provide suggestions
• Works with CI Team to be the process expert/SME on all processes in the department for areas of improvement
• Will cross train team members from other areas to ensure a flexible team
• May act as an Operator to help meet business needs

WHAT SKILLS YOU'LL BRING TO THE ROLE:

• Flexes training method and style to accommodate different learning types/speeds
• Ability to objectively assess trainee's skillset and progress

Knowledge / Experience / Education

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to stand for long periods of time. Repetitive movement of the body is required on a regular basis. The position requires lifting of no less than 15-35 lbs. on a regular basis. Must be able to tolerate working in a non-climate-controlled environment.
