Job Description

Supervise the participants in community education activities, particularly open gym, open libraries, and game nights, as indicated by the Community Education Grant, the site’s mini‑grant and the Advisory School Board.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Familiarity with community.
  • Ability to live and work in rural Alaskan environment.
  • Ability to carry out duties described below.
Duties
  • Provide a safe environment for community education activities.
  • Assume responsibility for the school buildings security during community education activities.
  • Keep statistics, as required by the Community Education Grant, on the number of hours and participants.
  • Report to the principal any problems encountered during community education activities.
  • Monitor participants, as needed, to ensure a safe, healthy environment.
  • Perform other duties related to community education, as assigned.
  • Assure building is left clean after community education activities.
  • This position specification may be used for the following temporary positions: overnight chaperone, referee, and coach.
