Job summary

Apple Montessori Schools in Hoboken, NJ is seeking a dedicated Co-Teacher Infant to support our Montessori classroom. The role involves maintaining a safe, engaging learning environment and collaborating with the Head Teacher on curriculum and parent communication.

You'll help develop individualized plans, demonstrate Montessori materials, and participate in staff development. A degree in early childhood, Montessori experience preferred, and NAMC or CDA requirements are valued.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in early childhood education or AA with required credits or CDA
• Montessori experience preferred
• NAMC certification preferred or willing to obtain within the first year of employment
• Ability to communicate with parents effectively and professionally
• Experience with lesson planning and development
• Ability to multitask in a changing environment

Responsibilities

• Ensuring that all students enjoy a safe and enjoyable learning environment.
• Collaborating with the Head Teacher in the areas of curriculum, lesson planning, and parent communication.
• Working closely with students to foster individual success plans and maintaining accurate records.
• Learn how to effectively demonstrate Montessori materials and philosophy.
• Collaborating with teaching staff to plan school events and prepare curriculum.
• Participating in staff development activities, educational trainings, and mentorship programs.

Hours: Monday to Friday, 10:30 am - 6:30 pm

Requirements

Final compensation is determined based on a combination of factors, including years of experience in a similar role, relevant certifications and/or credentials, and the size and/or geographic location of the school.
