Vail Health is seeking a Surgical Technologist to assist in the operating room, maintaining a sterile field and supplying instruments for each procedure. The role supports patient safety by managing packaging, sterility, and equipment readiness.
The successful candidate will work under RN supervision, participate in Time Out with the perioperative team, and contribute to ongoing patient-care quality while staying current with new technologies and techniques in the OR setting.
Assists during surgical procedures by ensuring and maintaining the integrity of a sterile surgical field and providing instrumentation as needed to the surgical team. Participates in unit activities that assure high levels of quality related to patient care. Functions under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
Requirements - Required and/or Preferred Experience:
Completion of a Certified Surgical Technologist program and/or Licensed Surgical Technologist
Licensed as a Surgical Technologist in the state of Colorado required.
Certification(s): Basic Life Support (BLS) by American Heart Association.
Computer / Typing: Must possess, or be able to obtain within 90 days, the computers skills necessary to complete online learning requirements for jobspecific competencies, access online forms and policies, complete online benefits enrollment, etc. Must have working knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing, and speaking English.
