Bloomfield Wax and Skin Care Center in Bloomfield, NJ, is seeking a Co-Stylist (Assistant Stylist to Master Stylist). This role is ideal for licensed or newly licensed stylists who are passionate about hair, customer service, and growth within the beauty industry.

You will support the master stylist during services, handle shampooing, prep, color mixing, and maintain clean, organized stations. Flexible scheduling, including weekends, and opportunities for advancement to Junior Stylist or Stylist

Qualifications

• Licensed cosmetologist or actively pursuing licensure.
• Passion for hair styling and beauty services.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet clients and ensure a warm, welcoming salon experience.
• Shampoo, condition, and prep clients for services.
• Assist during services such as blow-drying, toning, treatments, braiding prep, and silk press prep.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of stations, tools, and common areas.
• Assist the master stylist during hair services.
• Mix color, prepare products, and organize tools as directed.
• Observe and learn advanced techniques and salon standards.
• Maintain inventory of products and supplies.
• Launder towels, capes, and linens.
• Follow salon policies, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
• Participate in ongoing education, training, and skill-building.
• Accept feedback and demonstrate growth in technical and customer service skills.
