Job summary

Chaffee County Sheriffs Office seeks a Co-Response Clinician to work in the field with law enforcement and first responders to provide crisis intervention, clinical assessment, de-escalation, and connections to community resources that promote safety and long-term stability. The role is full-time, non-exempt, on three 12-hour shifts (10:00 a.m.–10:00 p.m.), Thursday through Saturday.

A master’s degree in a behavioral health field and 1+ years of clinical experience are required; CPR/First Aid

Qualifications

  • Must have a master’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or a related behavioral health field.
  • 1+ years of clinical experience in behavioral health or crisis intervention.
  • CPR and First Aid certification, or certifiable within 60 days of hire.
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable motor vehicle record.
  • Ability to pass a background check.

Responsibilities

  • Provide crisis intervention in partnership with law enforcement and first responders.
  • Conduct clinical assessments and de-escalate crises.
  • Connect clients to community resources to promote safety and long-term stability.
  • Collaborate with agencies to support positive long-term outcomes.

Chaffee County seeks a Co-Response Clinician. In this field-based role, you’ll partner with law enforcement and first responders to provide crisis intervention, clinical assessment, de-escalation, and connections to community resources that promote safety and long-term stability.

The qualified candidate will be a compassionate behavioral health professional who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and is committed to serving our community.

This position works three 12-hour shifts from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., Thursday through Saturday.

  • Must have a master’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or a related behavioral health field;
  • 1+ years of clinical experience in behavioral health or crisis intervention;
  • be CPR- and first-aid-certified, or certifiable within 60 days of hire;
  • have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable motor vehicle record;
  • and be able to pass a background check.

This is a full-time, non-exempt, hourly position with a wage range of $33.65 to $38.46 for a licensed clinician, $28.85 to $33.65 for an unlicensed clinician, DOE.
