Job summary

Symbotic is seeking a Spring Co-Op Service Readiness Engineer to join our Maintenance team. You will help identify and close documentation and readiness gaps for robotic automation systems, while gaining hands-on exposure to Symbotic equipment and teams.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• Mechanical aptitude with interest in robotics and automation.
• Experience or exposure to PLM tools such as Teamcenter is a plus.
• Strong project execution and organizational skills; ability to track details.
• Excellent teamwork and communication across engineering and service functions.
• Curiosity, initiative, and willingness to learn from equipment and docs.

Responsibilities

• Support Service Readiness Engineers in identifying and closing documentation gaps.
• Assist with mechanical and service-readiness projects for robotics equipment.
• Review equipment, BOM, asset, and service information for field readiness.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Supply Chain, Field Service, and Service Readiness teams.
• Organize project information, track execution, and report progress and risks.

Your job will be to support Service Readiness Engineers in identifying and closing documentation, technical data, and maintenance-readiness gaps for Symbotic's robotic automation systems.What we doThe Maintenance team is part of the Service Operations organization and supports the ongoing performance, reliability, and maintenance of Symbotic systems at customer sites. The team helps ensure our robotic material handling systems operate safely and efficiently after go-live, supporting system uptime, operational excellence, and customer success throughout the lifecycle of an installation.What you'll doSupport Service Readiness Engineers in identifying and closing documentation and maintenance-readiness gaps.Assist with mechanical and service-readiness projects for robotics and automation equipment.Review and support equipment, parts, BOM, asset, and service information used to prepare systems for ongoing field support.Work with Product Lifecycle Management data, including supporting accurate part and engineering information in Siemens Teamcenter.Collaborate with Engineering, Supply Chain, Field Service, and Service Readiness partners to execute projects and resolve readiness gaps.Organize project information, track execution, and confidently report project progress, findings, and risks to the team.Gain hands-on exposure to Symbotic equipment and systems while working alongside experienced Service Readiness Engineers.What you'll needCurrently pursuing a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related engineering field.Mechanical aptitude and an interest in robotics, automation, equipment maintenance, or service engineering.Comfort working with technical systems and engineering data, with experience or exposure to PLM tools such as Teamcenter is a plus.Previous internship experience in warehouse or manufacturing settings is a plusStrong project execution and organizational skills with the ability to track details and communicate progress and results.Strong teamwork and communication skills with the ability to collaborate across engineering and service functions.Curiosity, initiative, and a willingness to learn directly from equipment, technical documentation, and experienced engineers.Our EnvironmentUp to 20% of travel may be required.
