Job summary

Biogen is offering a 6-month co-op in the Clinical Pharmacology & Pharmacometrics (CPP) team. The role focuses on developing mechanistic QSP models, exploring AI/ML to accelerate modeling workflows, and performing MBMA to guide drug development decisions.

The co-op provides hands-on exposure to cutting-edge modeling approaches with collaboration across Research, Clinical Development, Regulatory, and other functions.

Qualifications

• PhD candidate in quantitative, computational, or mechanistic modeling.
• Masters or Pharm.D. with modeling/data analysis experience also considered.
• Experience with quantitative modeling or systems biology approaches is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and refine mechanistic Quantitative Systems Pharmacology (QSP) models.
• Investigate AI/ML approaches to enhance QSP workflows.
• Conduct Model-Based Meta-Analyses (MBMA) to inform strategy.
• Analyze preclinical and clinical data to support model development.
• Learn industry-standard data handling and modeling rules.
• Prepare internal progress updates for stakeholders on a regular basis.
• Draft external posters or manuscripts to share findings when applicable.
