Job summary

The Walsh Group, Ltd. is seeking Co-ops for our Midwest Region in Lexington, Louisville, and Cincinnati.

The program will prepare you for leadership positions on and off the jobsite, rotating through 3–5 work rotations with a structured learning plan to blend academics and work experience. Co-ops rotate a minimum of 3 terms (4 months each) across divisions in the U.S., with training to become a full-time employee after graduation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or enrollment in a cooperative education program preferred.
• Willing to relocate for specific roles within the region.
• Completion of 3–5 work rotations as part of the coop program.

Responsibilities

• Rotate for a minimum of 3 work terms (4 months each) across divisions in the U.S.
• Assist project manager or field supervision with project coordination.
• Estimate costs for change orders.
• Solicit bidders and coordinate subcontractor activity.
• Schedule contracts and materials.
• Document control and record-keeping.
• Coordinate subcontractors and safety management.
• Participate in team meetings and reviews.
• Write RFIs, submittals, and assist in change orders.

The Co-op position will rotate for a minimum of 3 work terms, (4 months in length) in sequence with academic schedules, in multiple divisions across the U.S. Co-ops will learn about multiple career paths in our company, and will be trained to become a full-time employee after college graduation.

Some Duties And Responsibilities Include

• Assisting project manager or field supervision staff with project coordination
• Estimating cost for change orders
• Soliciting bidders and coordinate subcontractor activity
• Scheduling of various contracts and materials
• Document control
• Coordination of subcontractors
• Safety management
• Participation in team meetings
• Writing RFIs, submittals, and assisting in change orders

Qualifications

• Seeking a bachelor's degree is preferred
• The ability to work a 12-week work schedule is preferred
• Enrollment in a cooperative education program at a college or university is preferred
• Specific roles may require relocation
