The GM reports to the Board of Directors and will oversee a management team spanning administrative, operations, facilities, and staff functions, driving policy governance, market competitiveness, and member-owner engagement.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years of retail grocery leadership experience.
• Strong financial acumen and ability to interpret financial statements.
• Experience managing within a unionized environment is strongly desired.
• Genuine understanding of the cooperative business model and its governance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement long-range strategic plans and translate priorities into measurable goals.
• Lead negotiations and planning for approved business opportunities and capital projects.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, permits, licenses, and EEFC policies.
• Provide regular reports to the Board and maintain financial stability for the cooperative.
