Job summary

Regeneron Pharmaceuticals in New York is seeking an on-site Co-op for a Spring–Fall or Summer–Fall term. You will support purification and filtration work on biologic drug substances, participate in risk assessments, and help document results for regulatory filings.

Applicants must be enrolled in an Undergraduate or Graduate program and be able to commit to 40 hours per week. GPA and leadership experience are preferred, with a focus on chemistry, engineering, or biochemistry.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in, or accepted to, an academic program pursuing an Undergraduate or Graduate degree and returning to school after the position.
• Must be able to commit to 40 hours per week from January–August, May/June–December, or August–December.
• Demonstrated leadership in campus activities, clubs, sports, or work preferred.
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support purification and raw material characterization methods to isolate, concentrate, and de-risk biologic drug substances.
• Conduct filtration and separations studies to establish reusable filter lifetimes.
• Investigate opportunities to extend hold times for filtration equipment.
• Establish acceptable reuse limits for filtration membranes used in antibody concentration and purification.
• Study raw material risk factors, including nitrosamine clearance and formation.
• Support hands-on purification and filtration operations.
• Contribute to nitrosamine risk assessment development.
• Document results that directly support regulatory filings.
