Job summary

Global Relay seeks a recent or soon-to-be graduate in Computer Science or related field to join our Vancouver team. You will work alongside experienced C# developers, contributing to clean, well-tested code in a collaborative environment that values performance and security.

Applicants should have course work or experience with C#/.NET, REST/JSON APIs, and database basics, with familiarity in Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD tools considered a plus.

Qualifications

• Recent or soon-to-be graduate from a Computer Science or related field with co-op experience.
• Course work or work experience with C# and an object-oriented language.
• Familiarity with .NET technologies and modern REST/JSON APIs.
• Experience with databases like PostgreSQL or CockroachDB is desirable.
• Experience with testing frameworks (NUnit, xUnit, MSTest) is a plus.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD (e.g., Jenkins) is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with experienced C# developers to deliver clean, well-tested, scalable code.
• Participate in design reviews and code reviews to improve quality and performance.
• Apply your craft in a collaborative Vancouver team focused on secure code and best practices.

Your responsibilities

• Recent or soon-to-be graduate from a Computer Science or related field with co-op experience

  • Concurrency/parallelism and asynchronous programming

  • Event streaming platforms like Kafka
  • Containerization technologies like Docker, Kubernetes
  • Continuous integration systems like Jenkins

Compensation

Global Relay advertises the pay range for this role in compliance with British Columbia’s pay transparency laws. Individual pay rates are determined by factors such as expertise, skills, education, and professional background. The base salary range in British Columbia is CAD 42,000 to 56,400.

The compensation package includes an extended health benefits program (including virtual healthcare and a wellness allowance), annual vacation days that increase with tenure, paid sick days, maternity/parental enhancement, a bonus program, and an RRSP contribution matching program. Vancouver-based employees may receive a subsidized meal program.
