Job summary

Scorpion Therapeutics in Cambridge, MA seeks a Bioassay & HTS Co-op to support early drug discovery through assay development, optimization, and execution. You will perform cell-based and biochemical assays, prepare reagents, collect and analyze data, and contribute to automation in a multidisciplinary team.

Expect rigorous training, hands-on work with advanced screening technologies, and a final independent project leading to a presentation.

Qualifications

• Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Biology/ Biochemistry/ Molecular Biology or related field.
• Knowledge of basic lab techniques, solution prep, and serial dilutions.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, communication skills, and prior research experience; interest in assay development and automation.

Role

Bioassay & High Throughput Screening (HTS) Co-op supporting early drug discovery through assay development, optimization, and execution.

Responsibilities

• perform cell-based and biochemical assays, prepare reagents and samples, collect and analyze data, troubleshoot experiments, contribute to automation and process improvements, and complete an independent project culminating in a presentation.

Requirements

• current enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or related fields; knowledge of basic lab techniques, solution preparation, serial dilutions; strong attention to detail, organization, communication skills, and prior research experience; interest in assay development and automation.
