Diversified Automation seeks an Applications Engineer Co-Op to support the bidding and proposal process for material handling projects. You will help organize technical information and verify documents align with project scope.

You will participate in technical discussions, take meeting notes, and assist with Excel data management and AutoCAD drawing reviews. This is an excellent learning opportunity for engineering students pursuing hands-on exposure to controls design and automation.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related discipline.
  • Co-Op provides support to Applications Engineering in bidding and proposal phases of material handling projects.
  • Supports review of bid packages and verifies documents align with scope.

Responsibilities

  • Learn fundamentals of material handling systems and electrical control architectures through live bid projects.
  • Assist in verifying that documentation matches project scope and RFQ requirements.
  • Track missing documents and follow up with internal teams or vendors.
  • Participate in technical meetings and take organized notes for bid decisions.
  • Support Excel-based estimating tools, cost summaries, and device count sheets.
  • Assist with document organization and updates to bid dashboards.
