Job summary

Gateway Rehab Center in Center Township, PA seeks a PRN Treatment Support Technician to assist the Co-Occurring team. The role involves facilitating groups, monitoring behaviors, completing intake paperwork, and coordinating with clinical staff to support a safe, therapeutic milieu.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, at least two years in a mental health or substance use setting, and a valid driver's license. Some college or PCB certification preferred. Training provided.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of 12 step programs and/or other recovery support and/or addictions preferred.
• Ability to adhere to ethical guidelines and maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
• Ability to convey information in a clear and concise manner.
• Ability to listen to patients without judgement.
• Ability to show empathy and understanding to patients.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates discussion groups and activities.
• Monitors patient behavior.
• Conducts handbook orientation.
• Participates in intake paperwork as needed.
• Assists patients with completing assessment forms.
• Transports patients to meetings when applicable.
• Documents involvement with patients in progress notes.
• Assists with crises intervention and with referrals as directed by therapist.
• Attends mandatory GRC trainings and in-services.
