Job description

About the Position

The Network Specialist is a licensed and board‑eligible or board‑certified professional in specialties such as urology, otolaryngology, orthopedics, pain management, dermatology, or wound care. The specialist works as part of the clinical operations team, primarily providing direct patient care and assessments in ambulatory health care centers and occasionally in acute care, nursing homes, skilled nursing facilities, or home settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct geriatric assessment, medical history review, physical examination, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
  • Log all patient visits and maintain accurate records in accordance with ChenMed standards.
  • Perform physical exams and diagnostic tests, interpret results, and develop treatment plans.
  • Explain diagnoses and treatment recommendations to patients in clear, straightforward terms.
  • Provide clinical advice on daily and long‑term disease management, including lifestyle changes.
  • Write and renew prescriptions for medications.
  • Monitor treatment progress, determine effectiveness, and follow up with PCPs and other providers as needed.
  • Advise surgery or external therapy when appropriate.
  • Collaborate with other specialized physicians to treat conditions.
  • Keep abreast of advances in the field and provide training to center personnel when requested.
  • Participate in conferences and document clinical progress through written notes and summaries.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Rigorous medical training and broad knowledge of specialty‑related conditions.
  • Ability to use specialty equipment such as ultrasound or EKG.
  • Professional bedside manner with the ability to explain medical conditions without jargon.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with PCPs and other caregivers.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Outlook and willingness to learn internal systems (Dashboard, MyNotes).
  • Ability and willingness to travel within the market up to 75% of the time.
Education & Experience Criteria
  • Medical degree from an accredited school and licensed to practice in the state.
  • Board certification in the specialty preferred.
  • Current DEA and DPS Certificate of Registration.
  • Minimum two (2) years of direct work or internship experience in the specialty.
Compensation

Hourly rate: $106.30 – $151.88. Final compensation depends on experience, education, geographic location, and other relevant factors. The position may also be eligible for bonuses or commissions.
