Job summary

VertiSource HR is seeking an experienced Co-Controller to lead accounting and financial operations in a fast-paced environment. The role partners with the Senior Controller to direct the accounting function, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and integrity of financial information across general ledger, AP/AR, payroll, and tax compliance.

The ideal candidate will have extensive GAAP knowledge, hands-on QuickBooks proficiency, and the ability to provide practical financial insight.

Qualifications

• Proficient in GAAP, with strong monthly close discipline.
• Experience managing general ledger, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Hands-on with QuickBooks and advanced Excel for analysis.
• Experience with multi-entity accounting and audits is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting operations and maintain documented policies and procedures.
• Ensure accurate general ledger, timely entries, and adherence to GAAP and company policies.
• Manage accounts payable/receivable, invoicing, collections, and controls within QuickBooks.
• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close and provide audit-ready records to management.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and KPI packages for senior leadership.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling with senior finance leaders.
