Job summary

Stanton Millworks is seeking a CNC Operator who can turn precise measurements and detailed designs into high-quality woodwork. You will setup CNC equipment, read blueprints, and ensure accuracy for each part while maintaining tool condition and machine uptime.

The role emphasizes ownership, problem solving, collaboration with designers and engineers, and building craftsmanship into every piece. Strong CNC experience and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 3 years of CNC experience.
• OSHA 10 Certification preferred.
• Cabinetmaking experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate woodworking CNC machinery to produce parts that meet project specifications and quality standards.
• Operate edgebander and wood dowel machines.
• Load and secure materials, adjust machine settings, and select and install the proper tools, bits, and cutters for each job.
• Read and interpret blueprints and design drawings to understand project requirements.
• Monitor operations, take measurements, detect malfunctions, edit programs, and sharpen or replace worn tools to maintain specifications.
• Set machining controls for speed, feed, coolant flow, and depth and angle of cut.
• Follow quality assurance procedures and inspect work for accuracy.
• Perform routine cleaning and lubrication, troubleshoot CNC equipment, and make minor repairs to minimize downtime.
• Maintain detailed records of materials, machine settings, operations, and finished product dimensions.
• Collaborate with designers, engineers, and other team members to improve manufacturability.
• Help manage inventory of materials, tools, and equipment used in CNC operations.
• Keep the work area clean, organized, and safe.
