Job summary

Eaton’s ES GEIS CHD division in Syracuse, NY is seeking a CNC2 Machine Operator for 2nd shift (2:30pm–10:30pm). The role focuses on wiring assemblies, quality practices, and efficient build release.

You will collaborate with Quality and Engineering, support programming and troubleshooting, and ensure materials and tools are available. A HS diploma and 6–12 months machining exp. are required; local residency within 50 miles of Syracuse is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 6–12 months machining experience.
• Resident within 50 miles of Syracuse, NY.
• No immigration sponsorship offered (CPT/OPT/STEM OPT/visa).

Responsibilities

• Promote Quality and Engineering’s best practices in wiring and assemblies and ensure standard wiring practices are followed.
• Collaborate with Quality and Engineering to ensure functional testing of wired components and assemblies.
• Support programming and troubleshooting to ensure proper functionality per Engineering and Quality.
• Collaborate with Supervision and Planning to execute released builds in a timely, orderly manner.
• Ensure materials, tools, and equipment are available and functioning.
• Verify wiring and components per BOMs/Schematics and select wire types/sizes as needed.
• Operate hoist or other lifting device as required to perform job functions.
• Document errors found in drawings/production orders and refer quality issues to appropriate personnel.
• Assist with other duties including wire harness assembly and panel wiring.
