Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace is seeking a CNC Technician for the 5th shift to set up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC/ASM machines, producing precision parts with strict quality standards. You will work with the production team to optimize processes and drive continuous improvement.

This role supports a 5th shift schedule and requires familiarity with various machining operations, quality checks, and safety practices in a work-cell environment.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in CNC machining and assembly.
  • Proven ability to set up and operate CNC machines.

Responsibilities

  • Set-up, operate and troubleshoot CNC/ASM machines performing operations such as boring, reaming, turning, milling, drilling, tapping.
  • Perform quality checks on parts using standard and special measuring devices to maintain quality.
  • Collaborate with Engineering on trial runs and parts using prints and sketches.
  • Perform diversified work when setting up and operating tape operated machines.

CNC Technician- 5th Shift (Finance)

As a CNC Technician here at Honeywell, you will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC machines to produce precision parts and components. You will ensure that all parts meet quality standards and specifications, and you will work closely with the production team to optimize processes and improve efficiency.

In this role, you will impact the production process by ensuring high-quality parts are produced efficiently and on time. Your expertise in CNC machining will help drive continuous improvement and operational excellence within our manufacturing operations.

This role will support 5th shift, not including any mandated over-time

MONDAY & FRIDAY – 10:00AM – 6:00PM and SATURDAY & SUNDAY 10:00AM – 10:00PM

Responsibilities
  • Set-up, operate and troubleshoot a variety of CNC/ASM machines which perform a variety of operations such as, but not limited to; boring, reaming, turning, milling, drilling, tapping, etc.
  • Performs specified quality checks on piece parts, trial run and experimental parts using a variety of standard and special measuring devices to maintain quality of parts produced.
  • Works with Engineering Personnel on trial run and special parts doing any type of job with or without Methods Layouts, working from prints and Engineering sketches.
  • Perform diversified work when setting up and operating tape operated machines
Typical Machines/Equipment Used

CNC/ASM Milling machines, CNC/ASM Turning machines, Related machine Tooling; ie cutters, drills, boring bars, etc, Anorad machines,

Drills, tappers, mills, turning, and Precision measuring instruments.

Working Environment

Must be willing to work in a “work cell” environment

Machine Shop working environment

typical dexterity required to set-up and operate CNC/ ASM equipment

work will coolant and oil materials

\Must wear safety glasses with side shields

average to heavy lifting required

Chemicals Used on the Job

Chlorethene, Water Soluble Oils, Standard Cutting Oils, and Cleaning Solvents

Qualifications

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in CNC machining and assembly
  • Proven ability to set up and operate CNC machines
