Job summary

Dauch Corporation is seeking a CNC Setup Technician for our Fort Wayne, IN facility on the 3rd shift. You will troubleshoot CNC lathe operations, update tool paths, and perform set ups and changeovers while maintaining safety and housekeeping standards.

You will train associates, participate in continuous improvement, and apply root cause analysis to production issues. Requires 1–3 years in high-volume machining and CNC lathe tooling knowledge.

Qualifications

• 1 to 3 years in high-volume precision machining environment.
• Understanding of CNC lathe tooling/programming.
• Knowledge of multiple turning and milling processes.
• Ability to train associates on machining standards.

Job Description:

• Participate in continuous improvement processes
• Maintains safety and good housekeeping standards

Required Skills and Education

• 1 to 3 years of experience in high volume precision machining environment
• General understanding of manufacturing processes and detailed knowledge of CNC lathe tooling/programming
• High school diploma or equivalent experience required
• Knowledge of Hard Turning, Green Turning, Milling, Broaching and Part Finishing machining processes
• Knowledge to teach robot and gantry pickup points
• Knowledge of Nachi robot controls
